NeighborQuad is a different kind of app - designed to help you meet people nearby and build real-life friendships, without the noise, pressure, or distractions of traditional social media. It’s all about genuine, down-to-earth connections - the kind of friends you’d actually want to grab coffee with or text on a random Tuesday.

While the app focuses on one-on-one connections, the name “Quad” hints at something more: a tight-knit circle of trusted friends, if that’s what you’re looking for. However you define neighbor - whether it's someone right down the street or within a 20-minute walk - this tool is designed to fit your definition.

We focus on genuine, local, one-on-one connections - not group chats, endless feeds, or noisy forums. Think of it as a quiet, intentional alternative to platforms like Nextdoor or Facebook. You choose who to connect with, and when.

This prototype tests a simple idea:

4. If they wave back, we’ll introduce you via text and email.

This is still a prototype, with a human behind the scenes helping things along - so it may take a little time for new profiles to show up on the map, for hellos to go through, and for introductions to be made. Thanks in advance for your patience!
